Providence Road mixed-use project appears on track | CharlotteObserver.com


Seems like The Charlotte City Council appears likely to approve a rezoning Monday for 89.5 acres off Providence Road that would allow the construction of Waverly, a mixed-use development that would be one of the largest commercial projects in the area since the recession.

I saw that this was scheduled to be approved last week, but haven't heard anything since then. Does anyone know if it is full steam ahead?

Yup full steam ahead, start grading this summer.

That will be a nice addition and use of the property. I am looking forward to it. They also have some traffic improvements for the area to help out.
