I'm so happy for this lol. Man I love looking at our skyline coming from independence to uptown . On top the 25 story hotel for the metropolitan. Man our skyline looks fierce already lol.

Interesting looking building. The drawing that was presented a few weeks ago was from a different angle and it was hard to tell the width of the building. I like this drawing better. I'd still like to see N Tryon add some towers to fill in the gap between W Trade and W 8th.

Seems like the CBJ said another tower is proposed for the old Goodyear Tire location at Stonewall and S Tryon. Keep'em comin'!

I think 4th ward is the only part of uptown with much assemblage of "anything remotely historic"... It'd be a shame to overshadow that part of town. Plenty of room to grow south and west!

I agree, but the gap fill wouldn't have to be in 4th Ward. East of N Tryon would be nice.

Potential for another tower next to Skyhouse (office building), word is the Days Inn is getting torn down soon, and a hotel planned, and then a few blocks aways at College and 6th, behind the Museum of the New South, another condo/apartment tower...

There's about 10-12 Highrises planned/planning stages for uptown, off the top of my head right now. Within the next 5 years, there will be substantial infill in just uptown alone. Also, South Park will start adding to it's small skyline, with highrises announced.

How would all of this vertical development affect the price of residential units in uptown? I'm glad to see uptown back on build-mode, but I fear that many young professionals might get priced out of the center city.

Yea you are right about south-park. Are there any pictures on what it might look like with all the new towers announced for south-park.

This property is now on the market. Can you imagine the views of uptown from here? Prime location just outside I-277.
