If you've been, what did you think? As an outsider looking in, it seemed to me that these outlets would have much more designer offerings. The outlets in Mebane definitely seem nicer, and perhaps Smithfield, too.
It's a cool place to me, not a wow thing just another option. It will be better once the restaurants, hotels, and other developments are built....If you want more designer go to Southpark IMO
I went in the Summer and was disappointed to see it being an outdoor mall. I would rather have it be indoors personally.
The offerings was okay. But nothing I couldn't get over at Concord Mills. While the premium outlets are closer to me, I will continue going to Concord as it's indoors.
Hate sweating in the sun, going in cool stores and back out in the hot sun. I can't imagine doing it in colder weather going from cold/jacket-into warm/take off jacket over and over.
They have more stores I'm interested in at CPO than Mebane or Smithfield. I love the new style of the Cosmetics Company Outlet store. It looks more like a mini Sephora than the CCO at Concord, which is just a difference design.
I like the outdoor aspect, I think less people will be wandering around when it gets cold.
Anyone know what they are building across the street?
On opening weekend, I went to shop spend loads of money, have lunch etc. They did not have any eating establishments open and I was hungry, so, I left without spending a dime. It was a wasted drive and I will not go back.
That'll teach 'em. How dare they open the stores before there's a steakhouse nearby!
When I go I'll look into whether or not restaurants are open nearby yet. If not, I'll eat before or after. I think I can handle a few hours of walking around stores without a bloomin' onion.

Do they have plans to add a food court? The Gaffney Outlets have one, and so does Concord Mills.

There were two restaurants located at the mall on opening day, two more that recently opened, and two more opening sometime before winter. You shouldn't really expect too much with a new mall in a completely dead area. Give it time.
