Waxhaw (15 mins. south of Charlotte in Union County) has a Farmers Market on Saturday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. It is right downtown in the historic district, which has a nice little main street with a cool wooden pedestrian bridge going over the railroad tracks.

go to flickr.com and type in charlotte, charlotte skyline, charlotte light rail, etc. Pretty neat stuff.
