Evaluating a community without an HOA and thus no HOA pool. Where does a family with a toddler go in the Matthews, Indian Trail, or Hembry Bridge area go for a public pool option in the summer?

One of our biggest drivers is a sense of community and having a place to go with the kiddo during the summer months.

The Siskey YMCA has a great outdoor pool and water park.

agree

My kids live there with their children and love going to the Y with the kids.

have a youth room that is well supervised, apparently freeing up Mom or Dad to sit and observe or go work out themselves while the children play

Monroe Aquatic Fitness Center. One person has to join year round, but you can take the children off in the winter or leave them on and go to the indoor pool .

You can also "freeze" the entire account for a time period. So we, like many families I know in the area, only pay for it during warm months when the outdoor pool is open, then "freeze" it once the waterpark closes for the season (no payment required but you're still considered a member so when you unfreeze it again you don't have to pay a joining fee).

You can freeze it for a minimum of 6 months, maximum of a year. We have never done that because we like to go to the sauna and whirlpool in the winter and the pool in the summer. But, you can do that if you want.
