Hi there, I'm meeting a vacationing friend near Harrisburg - I live in the triangle - she'd like to meet for brunch on Sunday and I haven't a clue of where to suggest. I'd love it if she could get a real taste of the south, but anything good works. She's willing to leave Harrisburg and I'd like to keep it no further west, really, if I can.

Thanks!

If willing to go 20 min from Harrisburg into the Plaza-Midwood neighborhood, Zada Janes is a great option for brunch and would be a "taste of the south". There is also Bistro La Bon in this same neighborhood - not a southern restaurant but very good. If you want to stick closer to I-85, there is Rocky River Grill in the Embassy Suites at Concord Mills, but not a very exciting place. The Plaza-Midwood area would be a great area to take her - my choice would be Zada Janes.

I know of one place that makes awesome homemade omelette's. Although I was never able to get my hands on their secret recipe, I know for sure they use natural eggs.
I was just joking; life is too short to think too much. You can have fun anywhere you like, just think free.
