Drayton Hall is nice but you don't have the amenities like a pool, tennis court and clubhouse like in Providence Downs. Not sure about Chatsworth/Stratford Hall.

Neither Chatsworth nor Stratford Hall have any amenities. I think Chatsworth has had some trouble selling and the orgonal builder there (Turnberry) isn't even building there anymore. Providence Downs definitely has the best amenities.

We drove through Providence downs last weekend - I could not believe at the amount of unkept yards and the B-ball court was yucky and there was a steak knife under a chair - On the upside I love the playground. A neighborhod like that why are the residents up in arms about unkept yards -

Crippus there are no guarantees for any development that any school will stay the same..sorry but that is just union county...some people moved to certain developments and were told they would stay in Marvin Ridge Schools and well they aren't staying there...it is all up to the school board on what developments they want to keep in what schools...Now I would assume that they would stay at Marvin Ridge that would only makes sense but again, don't choose a development because you are hoping the school assignments wont change..they do plan in 2012 building more schools in this area, so again just don't buy a home based on Schools...also remember the new schools in this area will be just as good as Marvin Ridge, now they know where they made mistakes and what works and what doesn't work...I'm sorry I cant offer an opinion on homes as I don't know of anyone that lives in any of those sub-divisions...may I ask have you looked at Firethorne Country Club??? Beautiful homes and very family friendly, as I know people in there....

If your looking at Providence Downs, I would suggest Providence Downs South instead. It is nicer than the original one. The unkept yards you see might be from foreclosures. There are a few foreclosures in both neighborhoods, maybe you could get a good deal?

We came very close to buying in Drayton Hall. I know someone that lives there and have been told that it is a very tight community. They all know each other and try to be a very active community, especially considering how small it is.

Not sure what unkept yards you've seen since I live here and I don't see any unkept yard. However, if you were here last weekend we did have quite a few rainy days so maybe someone wasn't able to get their yard mowed. Overall, the yards here are kept looking really nice. As for the Basketball court...the kids seem to hang out there often so sometimes it does get messy after they've been playing. However, I am sure if you check it out a day or two later the mess is cleaned up.

We are SERIOUSLY looking at a FSBO at Drayton HAll, and want to make sure it would be a good investment.
