I am new on City-Data and plan to move to Charlotte in 2-3 months and thank all for the good info on this site, it has been so helpful. Looking seriously in Ballantyne area but want to rent for a few months to look around good before buying. Does anyone know anything about the Blakeney Greens apartments in that ever growing area. It has a year lease requirement which scares me a bit. I am a middle age single female and would like to keep the rent in the $1000 ballpark. Help///

Try Post Ballantyne. We lived there and can't say enough nice things about it. They offer 3,6,9,& 12 mos. leases depending on availability. The amenities are great, the grounds are well kept, the maintainance staff is wonderful and we felt very safe. Good Luck. I think you'll like it here
