I am a single woman looking to relocate to Charlotte NC.from MI. I am a bartender so I have flexibiltiy in my job. I have a friend moving down with me. We would like to rent a house, but I have no clue what neighborhoods are good or bad, or where to go to look for those houses. I want to be somewhere safe. I also would like to know of some fun things to do in Charlotte. I enjoy outdoor activies. If anyone has any info on the best place to look for jobs, and rental houses I would greatly appreciate it.

from what I can tell, bartender jobs are a "just come here and apply" kind of thing...

do you all have any money saved up...being that you are flexible that might be in your best interest...

or maybe try a ntional food chain that is in MI and CLT

neighborhoods...

try this

What are your ages/interests? Do you want to live in the city, in a trendy arts district, an hostoric district, in the burbs and most importantly how much do you think you can afford for rent.

Plenty of bars/restaurants in Charlotte.

I do have some money saved up for my move. We are in our mid twenties. I am really pretty flexible about the location of my housing, we both have vehicles so we can comute a little bit for work and activities. So if we lived outside of the city it would not be such a bad thing, but I also like being in the city. I would really prefer to rent a house over an apartment. Currently I pay $515 for a one bedroom duplex, that is just me living there. For both of us we would not really want to go over $850/mo, but we would need a two bedroom. It is hard to judge how much I will be able to afford because I am not sure exactly how much to expect to make in the bars there. But thank you for your response to my question.
