Okay. Some of you have posted that you already pulled out the shorts . . . have been out on motorcycles . . . mowing a lawn (what is a lawn???) . . .and are ready for some outdoor quality time.
So what will you be doing to celebrate warmer weather? What is your big "Spring Is Here" ritual? What have you been itching to do all winter???
Plant some flowers?
Work on the yard?
Go fishing?
Clean up the boat?
Tune up the Motorcycle/Bike/4-wheeler?
Power wash the deck?
Clean out the gutters?
Fire up the Grill?
Play some tennis or golf?
Dust off the kayak/canoe?
Get out the hiking gear?
What are you oh-so-ready to get out and do???

In terms of most days having warm weather and flowers starting to bloom, when does Spring come to Charlotte?
Well, I think of Spring starting here in March. Vernal equinox - 3rd week in March and typically by then . . . bulbs are up . . . things are blooming. We sometimes have a cold snap in March but usually followed by Springlike weather. So I say - it feels like Spring here in March.
According to the little groundhog we should have 6 more weeks of Winter here in Charlotte! I'm just ready for the kids to be able to go and play longer than the hour or two once everyone gets home from work/school. Reading the dinner outside part also made me miss the warmer weather. Come July we will be wishing its November

Just head to the NC High Country (Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk) where it is 15-20 degrees cooler than Charlotte. When it is 90 in Charlotte it usually is about 75-80 max in the NC High Country!
And only about 1 1/2 hrs away.
