My uncle died recently after a hip surgery. We suspect medical malpractice. Anyone have any referrals to good medical malpractice attorneys in NC that do not ask clients to pay up front?

Most attorneys will do a contingency fee (usually 25-30% of final settlement/award) to do medical malpractice.

One of the best is John Edwards and I hear he is at home now, LOL!!!

If you PM me w/ more info, I can be of further assistance. I sometimes work w/ healthcare attorneys. Will be glad to help. You may need to contact someone out side the state, depending on nature of possible medical malfeasance.

Have you requested all medical records?

Just wondering if he might have bled to death? I didn't know until recently how much blood loss there can be involved in this surgery.

Loves - you are thinking about blood loss, and I am thinking about infection. I would think these would be the two mostly likely scenarios. How sad for the family, no matter what happened.

It would also be interesting to know the age of the uncle as this major surgery can be tough the older you are. How sad for the family
