I have family coming to town that love driving around and exploring upscale neighborhoods with beautiful homes/mansions. I know there must be many great areas, but does anyone have any specific recommendations for a nice drive in the Charlotte area? No gated communities (of course)  . Thanks. |

I absolutely love driving around the Myers Park area. There's lots of beautiful homes there! And, if the weather is nice and your guests are up for it, you could take a detour to Freedom Park.
I'm sure others will chime in... but I just love walking/driving through Myers Park on a nice day!

Well, the first place place that comes to mind is Myers Park But also be sure to see it's neighbors Dilworth and Eastover. Do you need some directions? |

Definitely take them down Queens Road West and thru Myers Park and Dilworth. Too bad the trees are bare this time of year. It's like a canopy in the spring. 4th Ward has beautiful Victorians and is a spectacular neighborhood.

I hear that Myers Park is very nice/affluent, along with the Dilworth area. I think you can drive around in some areas, but not sure if there are gated community areas there or not? There's a couple of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$homes for sale there! Website:
