Highland School of Tech magnet is ranked #35 in NC and #2,032 in the nation by US News
Stuart Cramer HS is fairly new. It was built to prevent overcrowding at SouthPoint & Forest View. Based on the area that it draws from it should be equal to or slightly better than South Point. They started it out with a freshman class & have added a class each year. Last year or this year should be the first graduation for the school.

Just thought that I would toss this out. There's a federal honor that can be given to elementary schools. Those schools are named as Blue Ribbon schools.
According to their site, they base this off of end of grade and end of class testing, along with the student growth index. This also covers Elementary and Middle Schools. Nothing new, but just another list to compare.

Butler HS, and South Meck HS with the same rating as Myers Park HS?
Apparently greatschools placed significant weight on something they title as "Equity" which is essentially a measure of diversity. And of course "diversity = good."

What a useless site.
It's a bit of both: Myers Park's performance has fallen in recent years & South Meck/Butler have improved in the same time period. And diversity is good.
It seems that their methodology allows a "diverse" school to be rated equal or higher than a homogenous school with equal or higher marks in other things...like graduation rate, AP course offerings, after-school club participation, school violence, etc.
Why is diversity inherently "good" unless it's contributing to these other markers of success...and if it is, then its being double-counted.

So which of these three are you saying should be rated higher?
Having exposure to people who are culturally and economically different than you are is also "education".
