Does anyone know about that music factory? Is it built yet or when?

Here's their official website. It looks like a pretty exciting place for the city.

NC Music Factory

It's built...I've heard rumors of restaurants and clubs opening by this fall or next spring. There are currently music studios, Creative Loafing and other businesses there.

I am hoping for a nice country bar to dance at. Coyote Joe's (Rowdy Joe's) is not the kind of place I am comfortable dancing in. We had some really great places in Indiana. I was really surprised there were no more country bars "here in the south" than there actually were when we moved down.

We had two great bars we danced at regularly. We really miss it.

Whiskey River has a country night I think and so does Dixie's Tavern. It is only one night per week. Although it says country bar on the website (as in they probably plan to have one), no country bars are going in there right now.

Once the Seaboard Street extension is opened up, I would think this project should start to move a lot quicker. The extension will provide easier access to the complex.

They may have country night, but they do not have a dance floor to speak of - not much of one anyway. I am looking for a really large club to dance at and meet people who enjoy the same. The places we danced at in Indy were like one big family - it was great. We have not found that here.

I think it is about to take off...I know that a new club called "Garden & Gun Club" is opening in the NC Sound Factory at 820 Hamilton St. Grand opening will be Friday Sept 5th. Venue will be...House, Breaks, Jungle, Tribal, Underground.

Also a new club will be opening in Plaza-Midwood called "Soul Lounge" at 1500 Central Ave soon...venue...Soulful House music.

If you enter the old way (W. 10th St.)...be cautious of the rough railroad tracks!
