I heard that Denver, Lincoln county, is the next up and coming hot spot. Isn't that near Lake Norman?

Did anyone here good things about this area (schools in particular)?

Our buyers agent has good things to say about it. It's one of the places we're going to look at. There's a site she told me to look at for school info. It's lincoln.k12.nc.us

One more question. I believe you had answered a few posts from me before on the Moss Creek, Concord area. In your opinion, which area is more desirable, Moss Creek, Concord or the Denver, Lincoln county area.

My husband just got new today that he is hired and we are coming to Charlotte as soon as I sell my house. My other concern is do I put the house up for sale asap or later on so the kids can finish up the school year?

Wow - this has been a day!! Hope your baby feels better!

I would put it up a soon as I knew I was moving. The different areas IMO are just as good as each other it would be where you can find the better deal

Congrats to your hubby!

Thanks for your concerns hopefully we can sleep all the way thru tonight!

Hey, I live in Denver, and Ive lived here basically my whole life. ( Used to live in Charlotte before moving to Denver. )

This area has been discovered long ago by home builders. Homes on the lake have become very expensive and many are atleast $500,000. It has been referred to as the "quiet side of the lake." This is changing very rapidly. We already have grocery stores and restraunts but guess what will open next year?

Super-Walmart. Commercial developers already have their eyes set on us. Along with several big box stores. So long to being "quiet". The roads here are worse than Mooresville or Huntersville. There are no 4-lane roads on this side, just two lane country roads that havent changed at all in the past 20 years besides adding a turn lane here and a turn lane there.

Im afraid that within a few years it will be unrecognizable and severely over-crowded.

For now, its hanging on to its small town feel, but probably will be another Monroe or Mooresville very soon.

The foundation was poured for our new house in Denver yesterday. While we are not on the lake, we do cross the lake a few times. It was so pretty when we were there in October.

Our house is 3400sq ft and costs $368,000 with 1/2 acre.
I cant wait to start packing and beginning a new life

How long so you think it takes to get to Ft Mill from Denver in morning traffic?
