We are planning a move from Reno, NV to the Charlotte area to be closer to our son and family who live in a Toll Brothers community in Marvin. We would like to be within a 30 minute drive or less, and want to build or buy a single level home (about 4000 sq ft) in a golf community.
We think Union County has lower property taxes, but are not sure. Can anyone provide me with some advice on locations, lots, private communities, builders, etc... We are really operating in a vacuum.
I'm a Realtor and can setup a property search for you based on the criteria that you have provided. It will give you a really good picture of what to expect.
There are several available options for you to look at. If you would like send me a Private Message with your email address and I can start emailing you properties.
anklin forrest is close to Marvin Creek and has ranch homes available to build or some specs also...it is in union county ,it is not a golf course community but you could join Firethorne Golf course which lots of people in this area do so you can be close to it.

Check out Firethorne and Longview -- you may also want to consider Shannamara and Emerald Lake. Let me know if I can help
