Im new to Charlotte and is interested in the Community commitment program. I have been trying to get info from BOA but they say come in and we can discuss.. i met with the mortgage person before but that was a couple of months ago. why want she give me the info over the phone or via email? anyone know the rates now? if its still 100% financing? is it a secret?

Are you referring to the home buyer program that provides incentives for teachers, FD and PD?

I looked up a link - this is HUD program - "Good Neighbor" program

HUD in North Carolina

Bofa has a program called Community Commitment. You have to take a class and meet other criteria to qualify.

Last time I saw the lender provided paperwork was about 2 years ago. They did have a 100% option on there, granted the closing costs were really high for the loan amount.

Also, a lot of lenders have yanked their 100% financing within the last two weeks. I'm sure there are some still offering it but I know most went to a 97%LTV line.
