i'm going to a concert at verizon wireless in a month, so i thought i'd turn to the good folks here for any advice you have on best ways to get there, parking, etc. i know i'll hit traffic and i'll probably sit in the parking lot for a while afterwards, but does anyone have any advice on ways to minimize wait times?
Only way to enter is off of Pavillion Blvd off of either 29 (N. Tryon St.) or 49 (University City Blvd). Allow plenty of time to get there...and getting out will take time too.
sounds like i just need to be ready to sit around after the show. has anyone ever used the VIP parking before? is it worth it ($20 for the show i'm going to)?
I go to at least two or three shows a year out there. The trick is to come from the north on 29 (speedway). There is hardly any traffic coming in that way. I slide out that way as well and never have an issue. If you go that route, the $20 for VIP is worth it because the right lane heading back to 29 moves quick because all of the traffic is heading south on 29. The right lane goes north and you can get on 85 at Speedway blvd with no problem. I have told others about this and they have had the same experience.
