Hello,
My husband has an opportunity to finish his career in Uptown. We would like to live somewhere where there are other 60 somethings and are thinking of renting with a budget of 3 to 4K per month. Which apartment buildings might you recommend?

I think you're going to find every Uptown apartment building to be largely populated by 20 and 30 somethings. Your best bet might be to try to find a house (if possible) or more likely a rental condo in a smaller building in 4th ward. Something like this:

I agree with the above comment. Apartment buildings are less well made than rental condominiums, more noise, more people and activity, younger age group. The 4th ward area is good for downtown access, also anywhere in Dilworth or Elizabeth. Zillow shows available units. Rental condos have no exterior maintenance which is what you seek, rather than rental sf homes.
For something completely different this 50 floor building was built for condos but converted to rental at completion.

The Vue has a decent sized population of older renters compared to the other large towers in Uptown. South End is almost completely people in their 20s and 30s. The area around Montford might be doable as you'll find more middle aged and up people out there than both Uptown and South End.

I would recommend The Vue, the Mint, or Ascent. The rents in those buildings are pretty high. The Vue in particular has a good amount of residents over 50.
