Hi there,

I want to buy a property in either of these two cities: huntersville or mooresville. I do not have preference over either one. I plan to rent it, since I live in NY. which city presents more opportunity for growth?

In addition, what community I should avoid to live in both of those cities.

What do you suggest?
your input will be highly appreciated.

thanks.

marie

Huntersville being closer to the city, will probably have a little better chance for value increase. Mooresville is great small town feel, Huntersville more suburbia. I would think closer to the lake would also be better.

Huntersville is beautiful and very well planned out, visually speaking. Mooresville always feels very cramped and congested. It doesn't seem to have as many trees, either. I could be wrong, though.

What part of Mooresville are you looking at? I'm on Hwy 3 & have lots of mature trees surrounding my house, farm land & fields. True, there are some areas that they just cleared the land or built on old farmland, so it's flat & open. It is a bit cramped & congested, IMHO, on the west side of I-77. That has alot to do with the shopping areas & traffic.

Think about taxes... Mecklenburg or Iredell? I think Iredell has cheaper taxes.

When I was house-hunting, I noticed the neighborhoods in Mooresville didn't have as many trees. Should I smack my agent? Lol.

I have heard that Iredell has better schools. It HAS to be true.

It depends on what you are looking for. Iredell's taxes are cheaper and Mooresville Graded School District is good. I would definitly prefer Mooresville though if I could find the same money there as I get in Clt.

Huntersville all the way!

Closer into town and a GREAT place to raise a family. Mooresville is nice but kinda out!

LOL...no, don't smack the agent...maybe some new glasses would be better! There's some pretty good deals in my subdivision right now. The one house that the builder has left to sell was just dropped in price by
$50K ...It's a great deal if anyone's interested & looking.
