I know nothing is 100% safe, but I would like to put the odds in my favor.

Anyone know anything about zip code 28273. I'm looking at possibly renting a house near the cross streets of Sandy Porter and Cedar Run Way.

Trying to decide between that house in South Charlotte and a house in Matthews not far from Weddington Road.

Thanks!

I'd def. pick the Matthews house over the Steele Creek area house. Two totally dif. sides of town in my opinion and i'd feel much safer in Matthews.

I would agree. That part of 28273 is ok...but some iffy areas nearby.

I like checking out ZipCodeStats.com

If gives some demographics information.

Doesn't tell you about safety, but gives you a brief overview of things like diversity, income per household, age of population, even things like renter/owner ratios which some believe impact the safety of an area. You're welcome to draw your own conclusions - hope it helps

It should be said 28273 is a pretty big zip code and encompasses a lot of sw Charlotte.
