About a few days to a week ago, I noticed a new distinct odor coming from the Charlotte municipal water. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's not pleasant. Somewhat chlorine-like but also pungent, it's a smell that reminds me of cleaning the toilet. Almost like bleach mixed with urine. My Brita filter doesn't remove the smell, though I have to say I don't think it tastes different, just smells bad. Anyone else experiencing this?
Check and see if you have PEX pipe, I've heard certain type of it deteriorate over time and begin to smell or discolor the water.
