In August, we have a 4-day Bahama Cruise (Carnaval) scheduled out of Orlando/Port Canaveral......my very first Cruise, wife's second! After the Cruise, will spend a couple of days in Port Canaveral area. I've never been to Florida either. We are really looking forward to this trip, but I'm REALLY excited about it. Prior to August, continuing looking for a nice cabin cruiser boat.

we will be doing local trips for 3 weekends this june...myrtle beach for hard rock park, free third eye blind concert at grand park (my favorite band ever), and the beach...then myrtle beach again with a bunch of couples (our second annual couples beach weekend, hah)...then atlanta for the american school counselor conference for, well, the confererence, and also six flags, aquarium, and outlets. sometime in july or august we might do a mountain trip for the first time or hit charleston.

when we do myrlte beach for the concert we are only staying one night and want to stay at a beach front resort...any recommendations? i was thinking the dunes inn resort, but i've only been to myrtle beach once so i don't know much about the area and where to stay.

Oh yea, in addition to Europe, I am driving to northern Minnesota to visit my wife's mom and a couple of weeks later to Boston to visit some of my relatives. I will be driving my Mazda that gets 27 mpg. I really found it strange that gas prices were 30 cents lower in South Carolina than Florida a few weeks ago. So much for getting screwed by the big oil companies. Looks like we need to look out our own back door (local and state).

We are driving to Niagara Falls, NY on 5/29 to attend my best friend's wedding! We're staying until 6/2 and celebrating our 4th anniversary up there (well, a few days early, our anniversary is 6/6).

This will be our first vacation since our honeymoon, so we're really looking forward to it.

We're taking my small 4 door car that gets close to 400 miles per tank of gas. Even with gas prices soaring, it still is less expensive than two round trip flights to Buffalo... and then we would have had to rent a car to get to the Falls anyway.
