This is just jealousy of the rest of the country showing it's ugly head...making a bitter news story to make the rest of the "losers" in the country feel better. A 3.4% drop? Really? Is that enough to call us "heading south?" Heck no! And I'll be darned...the house I just bought went UP by 13%. Must've left that one out of the calculation.

Everything is realtive, so try comparing to Orlando...not sure about exact numbers, but judging by friends and family who've been hit there, it's in the neighborhood of a 100-200% gain over 2 or 3 years followed by a 40-60% DROP in house price (add a re-fi in there at the peak of the price inflation to make things even more interesting)...IF they could sell it!

Why not report on that and leave the places that are still happy with their house prices and market alone?!

3.4%...pssssh. Get a real story.
