Phoenix Montessori gets rave reviews. We've been happy with Christian Montessori on Stumptown Road. The Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics - if you can get a spot!

Preschool or Day care - If you are looking for preschool - you have to register is Feb. It is harder to get into Preschool than college here - Huntersville Presbyterian may have openings - ( they are new) - check out the YMCA - They have a great program with swimming and gymnastics as part of the program - they also teach reading for the 4 year olds!

Huntersville Family Fitness Aquatics not a great option, if you want somewhere for your child to just play for 4 hours then it is fine, otherwise GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!! Not a very structured environment, my neighbor pulled her daughter out last year for that reason.

Default Lake Norman Learning Center

I can second the recommendation for Lake Norman Learning Center in Cornelius on Catawaba Avenue.

My daughter is finishing up her second year of summer camp and had a fabulous Pre K year (2007-2008)/

We relocated to the area one year ago - and enrolling her in this preschool was just the best!!

Good Luck!
