Hi - I'm staying with family in near the YMCA (McKee/Matthews Weddington), and I would almost swear that between 11pm and 1am, there were crowds cheering....I'm not sure if it could have been a neighbor with an outdoor TV turned up really loud, but it honestly seemed more like cheering at an outdoor sporting event.
I can't imagine it's the case, but would anyone know if the Y rents out their fields for Sunday evening events?

Thought it was a dream at first, but it happening twice and being wide awake, I'm pretty sure I'm not making it up...and the nearby homes are 1-acre or more lots, so it's not like there are a lot of neighbors who could be contributing...

If there was a sports bar close by, there could have been a European soccer match going on. It's six hours later over there and the matches draw big crowds around and they get loud. Just a guess.

Good call, Charbar7 next door to the Y has an outdoor enclosed with curtains heated area for just such events.

Thank you, both - that may well explain it. And I feel a little less crazy!
