Hello this is luisdiovany's wife. I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions about dance studios near the Concord area. I saw "Next Step Dance" and "A Leap of Faith Dance Academy" in our area. We have a daughter who would like to continue dancing.
A Leap of Faith Dance Academy had a nice website, but I didn't find anything on "Next Step Dance"
I'm wondering what Dance Studio is the most popular or would you suggest for this area. Thanks....

Smile dance schools

I would highly recommend DANCE DAVIDSON (in Davidson) and also
PIEDMONT DANCE CONSERVATORY (in Kannapolis).
Not sure what you are looking for in the way of dance - competition/trophy type schools or non comp schools.
I am a dance teacher located in Matthews so i do have a good knowledge on schools.

Default New Studio

Hi -

There is a brand new studio in the University area. It is called Studio C: A Dance Academy (Studio C: A Dance Academy). I saw it as I was driving down W.T. Harris the other day. It looks like they have classes for kids and adults in a variety of dance styles (jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip-hop). Might be worth checking out!

Cool dance schools

As a dance studio owner, i would seriously look around as Charlotte has so many dance studios popping up and whilst these people might have fancy websites and amazing facilities, they are not always able to teach dance very well !!!
In England, dance schools have to show a certificate of teaching status so people know they are putting their child in a school where the staff actually know how to teach dance.
Here in the USA, it would seem anyone can just wake up and open a dance school.
Someone who may have danced onstage does not always make the best teacher. Teaching dance is a gift.
You should ask to view a class. Watch how the teacher interacts with the students, are they able to break steps down so the children can learn them, do they have control over the class?
A flashy dance studio with endless trophies does not mean the instruction is the best.
Also, beware of schools that charge extremely high costume and recital fees.
We all order costumes from the same catalogs and i am not sure where they see the $100 + price tags!!!!!
