My wife and I are thinking about buying a spec house early on in Fairington Oaks and making the changes we want ahead of time. I have read a lot of negative comments about McCar on here and was curious if anyone has good experiences to speak of. We plan on asking some of the residents about their opinions - but I would love to hear from people who have had recent issues/success with McCar..

Not sure if this post is too late in coming -- I'm sure you've made a decision by now in terms of buying a McCar Home. My husband and I recently purchased a spec home in one of the McCar communities and we have had a wonderful experience. The home is absolutely beautiful (especially for the price). The lots are large enough (0.40 acres). And the neighorhood is located in a great area -- very pretty, very quiet (so far), and close enough to shopping, and Uptown. I'd definitely recommend buying a McCar home. Good luck (if you're still in the market)!
