DH has been watching too much "Hell's Kitchen" and now has a real urge for beef wellington. While I could make it at home... its 90 degrees and I don't feel like cooking. Anyone know anywhere that serves a really good beef wellington? I am in the Matthews/ Mint Hill area.
Also, can anyone recommend a weekend breakfast buffet (rather than a sit down brunch)?
I like Hells Kitchen myself, every night right before dinner I yell to my wife "Honey, I need the Risotto....HOW LONG?" in my best Gordon Ramsey voice :-)
Wouldn't even know where to start restaurant-wise. We haven't had much more than local takeaway since we moved here. Recommendations are always welcome :-)
jake --- I get the giggle fits whenever he calls someone "donkey" or "donut"
I really have not noticed beef wellington on any of the menus around here . . . we cruise and I get beef wellington when on a cruise, LOL. Maybe you need to take a cruise!!!!!! Leave out of Charleston, Jacksonville or Port Canaveral!!!
Sincerely, I do not know who might offer this on their menus. Have you ever used AllMenus. com???? I get a lot of info about area restaurants off that site.
Well its settled then...after all those years we lived so close to Port of Miami and never cruised, DH will just have to take me on one if he wants his wellington :-)
Thanks for the tip on allmenus.com I had never heard of it. But being new to the area it will help a lot.

Okay, Miami and no cruising - now that just isn't RIGHT!!! LOL!!!! Cruising isn't for everyone, of course, but it is a relaxing way for us to get away from phones and faxes and let someone else do the cooking - and take us to a new beach every few days, LOL!!!! But w/ your living right there w/ a beach . . . that may not have been such a draw . . . The food has always been really good, tho I have read that we may be surprised on our next cruise as many lines are cutting costs - including food costs.
I hope allmenus will give you some more ideas about where you might want to dine out. I would call Nobles, Zebra, the Palm, for starters and ask them if they serve beef wellington.
