I'v spent the past few days "investigating" the uptown area and the immediate (within 10 minutes) areas.
One of the things that I like to do when checking out a new place is walk and talk. So yesterday and this morning I get out there by 8am and walk the uptown streets and BS with anybody I think might give me insight to this city.
I just returned from the LYNX station (at Bobcat?). I go up the elevator--stand on the platform. Down the elevator and walk with people just as I am going to work with them. I talk to the construction workers at a half-dozen sites.Talk to doormen. Taxi drivers. Cops. Parents at Discovery Place.
I have a lot of other crazy ways that I check things out.

This is one hell of a town! I like it and think I may stick around a while--but I must watch myself and not get locked up for loitering.LOL

To all those that come on board and ask "How is xxx"," What do you think of YYY" I really recommend walk and talk system that I have developed.

BTW-I forgot to mention I also have a night program but that's for another time. Need to go now and explore a few spots a few miles away.Hope today's "exploring" doesn't cost me too much.
