Ugh...MORE Buckeye fans! There are a zillion OSU fans down here!

No need to be scared. Charlotte is like a big town, not really a big "city". Heck, the scariest thing will be the drive through Canton on your way here!

I think most will tell you the entire Ft Mill area is safe as is 95% of South Charlotte. IMHO for Charlotte, stay in the South Blvd, Independance, NC border triangle (areas 5,6) and you should be fine. Southern Area 7 has lots of affordable housing but isn't my cup of tea.

Really depends on your price range. For home rentals, check out Craigs List as there are lots for rent...just check the CMPD.org website to make sure you are in a relatively safe neighborhood. Good luck!

Where are you going to be working in Charlotte? That would help to decide where to live as far as the commute is concerned.

Leave snow boots and snow shovel. This will be the last time for
using this dreadful junk.

Probably more like Newark but a bit more citified. Grove City is a pretty fair comparison also. I wonder if the Bombay Bicycle Club is still in Grove City?
