I asked at the carwash and they said they didn't know. I don't want just an outside wash and an inside vacuum. I really need the inside detailed....you know, kids' coke spilled down the side of the interior door, that sort of thing.

I was a bit surprised, maybe people are just better at taking care of their own cars here????? That would not be me, unfortunately.

Thank you.

Dawn

Dawn, there is a poster here (not too frequently anymore) who moved down last year from NY/NJ area and he is doing this from his home garage. I plan to get him to do mine soon. He is in Fort Mill, so you might think that is too far, but personally I'm willing to take the ride. I've done the Auto Bell thing and it is just not worth the money Let me know if you want his info.

Before I moved out of NC Honda of Concord gave me a sheet with special prices on their detailing. I wish I still had that sheet with the price list but they do detail cars. I have no idea how they compare to other places who detail as I've never had anything done to mine.

yea, this is def. a service that is missing in the area. Autobell is the only car wash place but not somewhere i'd take my nice car if I wanted it to be detailed.

Most advertise by word of mouth, customer to customer. You can at times see mobile trucks with detailing written on the side.
Why in the world would a car wash give out the name of detailers? Competition!

There's a detail place in the Carillion building uptown next to Mortons Steak. It's only known by those who work in the building. 227 West Trade Street, lower 2nd level. You drop off keys to the guy in the lobby and he will call you when the car is ready. Yeah, it will cost you extra if you don't work in the building to park $5. However, you could leave your car all day, but you need to retrieve the keys before a certain time.
