A bidding war for engineers | www.charlotteobserver.com

My husband came home talking about this article last week....three of his co-workers made the picture in the article. I thought people thinking of Charlotte would find it helpful, or folks here can tell friends who are engineers to come on down!

Great idea!!! And - a very informative article. I believe UNC-C is supposed to have a strong engineering program . . . but I have never thought of this region as being a good place for an engineer to find work.

Interesting article as I work in the industry. I know our engineers that are devoted to our energy sector clients are busier than ever.

Every year the College of Engineering at UNCC has a picnic where students can informally meet with local and regional engineering companies. Last year, I'd estimate there were +/- 100 companies there representing all engineering disciplines.

Hopefully things will still be looking this good when I graduate a few years down the road.
