I'm in Memphis now and the standard is 3.19, though I've seen quite a few that have dipped down to 3.14. I'm kinda happy I only am home two days a week, let's me stretch a tank of gas a lot longer than anyone that has to commute daily to an office.

Yep . . . we were paying over $4 here and my friends in MO were reporting $3.13. Unreal.

Yesterday I tried to fill up at a station, and the pump ran out of gas before I even got a gallon in! I was able to get gas at the next station though.

Tsk tsk tsk...think how much revenue NC is losing to SC just on gas. So where is the SC supply coming from? Why does SC have gas and NC not have gas?

Someon eposted an article in another gas thread last week. This region of the country is the only area with gas storage facilities or a refinery. That means everything we get here has to be brought in (by pipeline or truck). I'm sure that has something to do with it.
