Giving up on affordable housing and most apartments have bad reviews. I don't want to live with gang bangers, college kids, yuppies, illegals, drugs, and pimps. And the deposits are outrageous when you have 2 small dogs. Tried living with various roommates all younger and they are so mean, one was going thru eviction but took my money, had one roommate moved out before me tried to take refrigerator, one called the cops cause my 2 Chihuahuas barked at her. I will buy a foreclosure hopefully soon.

If you give an idea of the area you would like to be in as well as your price range, you will more likely get some responses. Good Luck

Well, I toured the Shad's Landing Retirement apartments on Prosperity Church Road for my wife about a week ago, and if I were a senior (we're unfortunately pretty far away from that), I'd get an apartment there in a second. Three meals a day provided. Room and linen service once a week. Transportation to appointments and outside activities. All utilities except phone included. Daily activities inside, a fitness center, a pool (i.e. billiards) room, a library, a guest suite, and a home theater. No lease, so you just pay month-to-month.
