Til tomorrow (10/31) at least Restaurant.com is offering $25 gift certificates for $2 with the discount code "treats." (normally $10)

I typed in my zip of 28078 with a 30 miles radius and got like a 100 restaurants local to Charlotte, most of which I've never heard of or tried. My question to the forum is are there any restaurants on this list that I should definitely jump at this opportunity.

So far I got gift certificates for Just Fresh Kitchen, Zebra, and Rusty Rudder, just cause I think I recall hearing about them on the forum before but haven't ever been there. Any other from their list that you would recommend?

(I've never used restaurant.com before so I don't know if these certificates will actually work, but I figured for 6 bucks I'd give it a whirl - if anyone has used them before I'd love to hear about that too) ~ TIA

I've used them... they work!

Just look through the list and see if there are any restaurants you'd like to try. As cheap as the certificates are, you're not losing too much money if you decided you don't like the restaurant.

Just make sure you watch the restrictions and use them within the one-year expiration. OH, and on the Rusty Rudder one, it says that reservations are required, but I've always been able to walk-in and use the certificate with no problem. HTH

Have fun dining out!!!

What I was wondering was; on some of the restaurants it has $10 gift certs for $3 and yet their $25 gift certs are $10 (which are sometimes marked best value). What if you bought 3 of the $10 dollar ones and paid the $9 - is that not a better value.

I am pretty sure you are not allowed to use more than one at once. I used to buy them but there are usually a lot of restrictions and then I wind up gettings apps so I spend more money anyway.

Was very interested in your question and got on the website. Where do you type in the discount code? I love the idea of $25 worth of food for $2.

I entered it after I added it to my cart, there was a box at the top - after you type it in it'll say 80% discount applied, I'm not sure if it only works on the 25 dollar ones or not...

They work great! We love the Acropolis in cornelius...$2 for a $25 cert, then you just spend $35...so you get $35 worth of food for $12...Not bad at all... Of course we usually spend more than that anyway...so it is a nice savings!

I missed the sale this time, but they run the 70% and 60% all the time...

I used a restaurant.com coupon at Wing Stop today (Hwy 51 and Carmel Road) - great deal! Got a $10 coupon for $3 then with the 80% off I paid .60 for a $10 coupon! 20 wings, large side, celery w/dip and drink about $8.00 (for two people!). Even have some wings leftover for lunch tomorrow... WOW! Best deal I have found in a long time and the wings were great!!!!

Just a heads-up that Restaurants.com are running their "80% off" promotion again - $25-off coupons for only $2. The offer is good until Dec 25th and you enter the promotional code "GIVE" upon check-out.

Does anyone know where restaurant.com get these certificates? Will restaurant staff/owners be unhappy when we use certificates?
