I'm trying to find a health food store/vitamin store. In Charlotte, Concord, Harrisburg, etc...I"ll gladly drive to a good one.
I'm not interested in places like GNC or the Vitamin Shop. They are pretty limited in their selection.
I would like to find a place that has a large selection of vitamins, herbs, books, organic foods and all natural health and beauty products (shampoo, toothpaste, etc....)
I found a place near downtown that is similar to what I'm looking for but it's a pretty small place. "Something Farm." Can't remember the name. Anyhow, does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks!!!

I know of nothing larger than GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe.
I do a lot of shopping at Iherb.com. They have free shipping over a certain amount.

The home economist market has a pretty good selection of vitamins and other natural remedies. Every time I've been there the person who was working there was very knowledgeable. Oh they also have mostly organic foods/natural foods and special diet foods. They have an awesome bulk section as well. There's a few locations in the charlotte area. hemarket.com

I find I have to use a combination of sources. Earthfare (like Wholefoods) has a nice selection of body products (just google them). Then I go to my small local health food store & have them special order a few things for me from manufacturers that they already carry. Lastly if I need something really special I'll go to willner.com.

Penn Herb is the most extensive that I know of, but they are obviously not local (They are on the web). I'd recommend Trader Joe's for part of what you want & then get the rest elsewhere.

I've been to Berrybrook Farm a few times but they have such a small selection to choose from. Overall, they are fine but I wish they offered more. Guess I'm spoiled by the previous heathfood stores I've shopped at in other cities.
I'll try the Earthfare, Trader Joes and the other ideas that were offered.
Thanks everyone!

There is a store I use to go to, can't be for sure it's still there, it's called HBAV (Herbs, Beauty and Vitamins), go West on Harris Blvd (from 85), right on Grier, it's on the left about 1/4 mile. The store is located on the left side of her home.

Natural Herbs & Vitamins
Hi, I have been taking herbs and natural vitamins for 25 years and haven't found the likes of the one in Marion, N.C. "Earth Heart"

828-756-2224 Talk to Cynthia, the owner.
Cynthia is the owner.
I used to travel up there once every month on Saturday and visit a man name Chief Two Trees just to listen to him talk to people.
Two Trees was a Cherokee Indian Medicine Man. A title handed down to him from 10 generations. I saw him for 15 years. This man helped heal me and countless others from everthing under the sun including cancer.
I used to take people to see him and have wonderful stories to tell which will be part of my new book, "Got Cancer Yet?" An autobiography of my trials and tribulations and the healing proporties of the proper food, natural herbs and vitamins.
Call Cynthia and go and visit her store. She ships too.

if you are too far from any of these places, you can always order from Amazon. I have found everything I was looking for there, and shipping is usually not much.
