We are looking to move from Ohio to Charolette NC. We are looking to live around the area but not ness. in Charolette..any idea of good counties/cities to move to? I would be looking for a Accounting/Bookkeeping job and my fiance would looking for a Construction/Asphalt paving job. We will probably rent at first just in case we don't like it. We have two small children so we would be looking to rent a 3br house.

Any help on areas that are good to move to..and how must rent would be in those good areas would be great...

Look to rent a house more affordably out of Charlotte in areas like Concord or Gastonia. There a 3 bedroom house can be found for about $850. a month. Concord has some nice schools too. Good luck!

Interesting that you should mention that you are in the asphalt industry as I am looking to move to the Charlotte area & currently work for a large asphalt / aggregate / road construction company whose corporate owner (Old Castle Materials) has recently purchased APAC, a large company in NC. If they treat their people the way they do in New England, they are a good outfit to be with, though I'm guessing that the work in NC is also seasonal as it is in NE.
I wish you the best of luck on your search; I'm moving to NC as an empty-nester, so I know my search will be easier.
