I wanna get an inground pool once I buy a house but have no clue how much a typical inground pool would cost? Anybody have any suggestions? I have been on alot of websites but they don't seem to have prices.

Not sure out here, in CA my friends sister put in a simple pool a few years ago, $25k. They are definatly not cheap. It will be interesting to see other peoples estimates.

And call your insurance agent to see how much your homeowners insurance is going to go up.

We put one in about 4 years ago and it ended up costing about $25k with the coping, extra concrete etc. We put in a vinyl liner one but we costed at gunite one and that would have set up back $45k. Now we used a terrible company and this year we redug our pool and put in a new liner and it cost $13k so to be honest we should have put in the gunite one - we were nearly at that price. BTW your homeowners ins does not go up at all - at least our didn't and we are with Nationwide. It's great fun though and we enjoy it thoroughly. Make sure you get enough concrete and not just the 3 ft around that they give you.

I put in a gunite pool last year. Total cost was about $65k for the pool, without a hot tub or a heater. Hot tub was about $10k more including the heater, heater was $5k by itself. Pool is about a 20 x 35 ft shape. Just a whole in the ground pool without any features was about $50k. We love it--salt water chlorinator so maintenance has been a minimum.

Figure minimum about 30K for a decent pool.
