Google maps says 1.5 hours. Is this actual? I have heard ppl do it in 45-60 mins. I may be getting a job in NE charlotte and would like to know if it will be worth the drive until we are able to move.

thx,
D

If your working rush hr, It would be more like 60-75 minutes. to NE Charlotte. You can do the math rather simply for the miles, NE Charlotte is likely exit 45 or 46.

I drive 9 miles over the speed limit on 85 without worry. I have even passed troopers and they haven't budged.

ok if you are doing your timing from actual city limit edge of Charlotte near University and the edge of greensboro it might be done in 60 minutes to 70 minutes but city center to downtown greensboro you are looking at 1.45

Troopers yes there is one that sits near Jake Alexander Blvd.
One as soon as the interstate turns into three lanes past yadkin river bridge.

Between exit 91 and 94 lexington city cops sit within the hills and valleys of the interstate and hp sits clocking on the acceleration ramp and some hp have been known near Trinity on the acceleration ramps there. Good luck with your ticket

this.

I routinely drive between Charlotte and Greensboro. Cops everywhere, just as Sunny described.

From NE Charlotte to say, Grandover, is about 55-60 minutes. Depending on where you would be coming from in Greensboro, you could tack on quite a bit of time.

But, if the job is good enough, it is a manageable commute for a while. There's a drive-through Starbucks in Salisbury that I routinely hit on the drive.
