House Hunting is going sour bec houses close so quick and I am very picky with schools. My kids go to private school in rural NY for next to nothing (we get financial aid). I want to buy a home near Mckee Road bec of work (South East Charlotte , Matthews or closebuy Union).

How hard is it to get in private schools? which ones are highly regarded? are near South East Charlotte?

I want to buy a home in an area with the lowest class size for public schools until I figure out how and when I will get the kids in private school. Which schools are those if any????

Any info would be great!!!!!!!!!Thanks

Since you want to buy near McKee anyway, why not put your kids in public school? All the ones in that area of Charlotte and Union county are good Overcrowding is being addressed and new schools are opening every year.

In my opinion, Charlotte doesn't have a bad private school - they are all terrific. But expect to pay starting at $12,000 a year, and up, depending on what grade you need and which school you choose. The top schools are:
Charlotte Latin, Charlotte Christian, Charlotte Country Day School and Providence Day School.
