I am starting to learn who some of the regulars are (well it took me 1000 posts so I guess it's about time) and there seems to be very little about what your outside interests are other than work and CD .
Tell us what interests you in the area of passions, fun, hobbies etc.

Will post mine tomorrow as I am cooking right now...one of my interests.

Don't be bashful. This keyboard hides so much of who you really are.

Well, I think my screen name gives one of my biggest passions away LOVE, LOVE being in the mountains - hiking, camping, backpacking.

I am not anywhere a regular, but I am getting addicted to this forum.
Hobbies and interests include:

Mah-jongg twice a week with friends-this is the maj-jongg you see Georges's mother playing on "Seinfeld", not the on-line game.
I also am into art classes-right now pen and ink drawing
Gardening when the weather permits

Well, all over NC and Virginia whenever we can!

Don't backpack as much as we used to, getting to the point I can't get a good night sleep on a Therma-rest anymore (thin mattress) I have too many favorite trails in NC to name, but especially love the Roan Mt. area on the TN/NC border. You can connect up with the Appalachin Trail there and the views are stunning.

My husband and I have also hiked 23 miles across the Grand Canyon - from the South Rim to the North Rim - which is one of the top 10 things I've ever done in my whole life

That is amazing. I was at the south rim in Oct of last year and we walked the whole rim trail. After that, I made it about halfway down the bright angel trail before I realized I would have a hard enough time to get back up since we were not going to camp at the bottom. You really have to be in shape getting out of the canyon. After I can get my butt back in shape I plan on taking a couple weeks there to hike it. I'm not sure I'll do the 23 miles though. Congrats!
