Just curious, do my fellow Charlotteans believe that Trump Towers will get built? We have had some projects that just sounded too good to be true, will this be one of them? Or will it be some kind of incredible miracle.

"Other than the fact that it has my name on it -- which I'm not thrilled about -- I have nothing to do with the company," Trump told the Associated Press this morning.

He acknowledged being sad about the end of a venture that was so publicly and relentlessly associated with his name and image. Yet he said the company "represents substantially less than 1 percent of my net worth, and has for some time."

As for will it be built? We should know more in 2010, no one will be starting projects in 2009.

Edit- Brian beat me to it.
Edit 2: I wish there was a maybe button!

LOL - you are not alone, Adavi - perhaps I am just overly optimistic, too, but I do think it will be built. However, I think the year for the big push won't be 2009 but rather 2010.

That's what I'm hearing. So if it takes off in 2010, optimistically hypothetically, it will be finished say 2013?

I just wonder if there is as much demand here for that kind of opulence as there is in IL.
