Just read a great story about a conservative bank in Gastonia, Citizens South, and thought I'd share it in the link below. I've been looking for a smaller local, responsible bank to switch to, and I might have found it. There are plenty of smaller, conservative banks and financial institutions, and it's nice to hear about them once in awhile.

I have family members who bank with Citizens South and are pleased.
We may change ourselves.

One point that was made today, that I hadn't thought of was that the credit unions hadn't been affected by all of this mess.

Nice to be reminded that there are plenty of banking institutions out there who have been concerned with their communities and the best interests of their customers.

Thank you for sharing that story with us!
