P.S. When's your book coming out?

I posted a long time ago that these financial magazines who dip into subjects they have no idea about usually end up getting it wrong.

I posted a typical sunshine Forbes article from last year BACKING UP MY STATEMENT. Contrary to what you've offered.

Instead of just using the cut and paste option that you're accustomed to do, give us something concrete why you believe these articles.....

Let's try this one more time. What is wrong in that article? I haven't had many back and fourths with you, so perhaps you're getting me confused with someone else. But I do recall a recent thread where we "debated" a topic, I provided a link to "proof" of my point, and rather than provide your proof, you just faded into the sunset. So, let's not repeat that incident. So if you would please, do provide us with what you have that shows that article is "wrong".

The title claiming Charlotte is the 3rd best housing market is misleading, just like the last RE article I posted for you above. Should I post it again for you or can you scroll up and view the article to show how accurate forbes is in predicting real estate?

Look, I'll be waiting w/baded breath when you offer an opinion or something more than a link........

I guess I'll have to hold my breath for awhile.

oh lol. You make it sound like the bible or something... "why do you BELIEVE?!1!". Lay off the theatrics and take a position on something other than "THINGS ARE TERRIBLE". Everyone knows things are terrible whether you're yelling in their ear or not... trust me.

The OP linked an article. Anyone with half a brain realizes that Forbes publishes these lists nearly daily and names as many cities as possible in different articles for the "click-through-ten-slides" ad revenue generated by the various inhabitants of their subject cities...

And YOU'RE the one who is claiming it 'bird cage liner'. The burden of proof is on your hands as far as I'm concerned... show me their bad data or a poor set of judgement criteria and I'll be more impressed. Otherwise, I'll enjoy it for what it is... a breath of optimism in an otherwise depressing economic condition.

The aticle says "Best, No. 3: Charlotte, N.C." Forbes says its the 3rd best..uhh...based on "their" research, not mine. That's not my opinion. But why would I challenge them (like you), if I haven't done my own independant research (which you haven't done either). And you haven't posted anything that says its "not" the 3rd best. So, just like before, I'm still waiting.

it's bated breath, genius.

You post one article by Forbes which says Charlotte is "Most Recession-Proof" as PROOF that the new Forbes article is wrong... But the new article is basically supporting evidence that Charlotte may be faring better than other cities.

Fail.

Again.

Default This is what drives me bat shtye about this board

Someone comes on board with some data published by Forbes. Forbes states the source of data (Case-Shilling) and the time period the data is relative to.
Another poster who might be having a bad hair days says "it ain't worth more than bird cage liner". No back-up to statement...just put on the boxing gloves and lets go from there.

My problem is these kinds of responses are worthless and mindless. Everybody gets into a huff and . . . for what? To listen to a nay-sayer that just wants to talk? Nay-sayers wouldn't bother me IF there was some substance. Some meat on the bone. Why scroll thru this crap when one can watch cartoons on the Cartoon Channel with my 3 year grand daughter and get more of an insight than BLA, BLA, BLA? Now of course the expected response to this post will be (very typical I might add) "Well if you don't like my posts don't read them". Yes, but it's a child- like response and very close to the cartoon network which I prefer.

If you do not agree with or believe the subject matter of these articles, then get some facts on the same subject the article is written on, then post it, if you must debate them all. These are posted as a note of recognition, which is usually interesting to many people in here. Most of the time these articles are based on market data and other facts, and are just a particular look at the situation as it stands. Why must you constantly come in these threads, demanding people post links to facts for you? Is your life really that sad? These are interesting to most of us. Nobody except you is looking for a debate. Go debate your cat or whatever. You might spark some interest.
