They seem to offer alot of square footage for the price and my wife and I have been thinking of moving in to one of their communities.

Being first time home buyers I am doing as much research as I can before we finally take that plunge and would love to hear from people who can share their experience with them.

Thanks!

I live in one of the communities where TrueHomes is building, having taken over Craft Homes last year. I don't know the details about the transaction, but I can tell you Craft built the biggest and the nicest homes in this neighborhood until they 'became' TrueHomes. Now TrueHomes builds the cheapest homes in this neighborhood, of the three builders here. (By cheapest, I mean lowest priced overall, so don't get offended if you live in one of these homes! They're building homes for $20k - $50k less than the other builders here.)

I went into a couple of Craft Homes last year and they were impressive, but out of my price range. I have not been in any TrueHomes buildings, but it looks like the stripped the old designs to make their own. Personally, I think some of the new aspects of their designs are a little tacky, but that's personal opinion there.

Their houses are going up fast and being bought quickly, but I'm pretty sure that's just the overall state of the market now... people are being what they can afford and not going overboard.
