Did anyone see the story in the Charlotte Observer about Trump building in Uptown?

I did not see the article but the rumor is that he is looking to build the tallest building in the area (big surprise, you know how he is) and it may be across Tryon from the new Wachovia complex. Blech, I don't want my downtown maimed with a tacky building that screams "TRUMP" on the top.

Seeing his past projects and they always have that very over the top "Midas Touch" look to them. It would give Charlotte more recognition from the mainstream and international media. That boost will have much more outside eyes looking at Charlotte. Right now the article says they are in primelinary stages and analyzing.

I have no problem with it and base on that article a mixed used place could only be a good thing especially if it design like the one for New Orleans. If that location across from the observer is true it can help soften the skyline from (my opinion westin box design stick by itself in that location.)

If this does pan out to happen it would not be fully functional til years down the road, and by then it will help fullfill the need once all the other new condos are filled.

Since he's such a trendsetter, I'm just worried that I'll have to adopt the sweeping comb-over.

Default How about Rosie?

Heck, everyone else is coming from NY. Where's Rosie, she's from Commack L.I., she might as well too!
