My husband and I are in our late twenties currently residing in Philadelphia.,Pa We are moving to the Charlotte area this summer. I have bben researching Fort Mill and the Pineville area. I would like some opinions. Which town is better and why? The crime rates etc. Any info would be great. Any suggestions would be great.

Of the two you'd probably prefer Fort Mill. It's a little smaller but still nice. There's not as much going on in Fort Mill as far as shopping, restaurants, etc. but homes are nice and it's close to Charlotte. I can send you some websites to look at to see crime stats in the area, just send me a pm.

Give us a list of your priorities and what you're looking for in a town (schools, housing costs, shopping, etc.) and people will be able to provide you more assistance.

IMO, depending on your price range, Fort Mill is the better place. Pineville, is more for shopping and there are not that many residences there that aren't very old. There is a new development called the Traditions, I think and John Weiland is developing the old golf course in Pineville so there's something to look forward to.
