I dont know if your memory of last week but we had a nice sunny day then IMO surprise snow storm well it killed my power washer and I dont know what my options are.

Due to that I used it that Monday the excess water I assume still in the machine and when we thawed out and it was nice again I turn it on and water was spitting every where from the bottom and spray nozzle.
The nozzle no biggy that I can replace but can the washer be fixed and who does that kind of thing? I paid about 1000 bucks for this device do you think I can get it repair for alot less than that?

Good news is I have my deck and hot tub stained this past warm days and it looks good

Go to Sam's Club and het a new one... The water probably expanded and cracked some stuff inside. As a long shot you can talk to a Lawn mower repair shop... Good luck.

Uh oh. I can't believe it. I am so sorry.

What is the brand name? I think it can be fixed. It didn't get that dern cold. Not like we are in Maine. Heck, not like we are even in Boone.

We have had to replace more than the nozzle on one of ours so honestly - I think it can be fixed. The water could not have done that much damage.

We just need to find an online manual or some way to figure out where the leaks are actually coming from. May need to unscrew the cover. If the thing starts, then it can be fixed - surely. Surely?

Sunny, it could be the water pump portion of it had water in it that froze, expanded and then did some damage. The motor should still work, but the motor is connected to the water pump and if the pump is seized then the motor may not work.

It a Briggs & Stratton 3200 psi 7 horse power and the engine works fine. Would a lawn mower repair shop be the best option or as I say hesitantly craigs list? Im thinking water pump as mention above.
I rather not get a new one if repairing is cheaper but I dont know.

It may be a lost cause but since the motor works I feel need to repair it.

I would stay away from craigslist. If you went to a Briggs and stratton dealer you could make sure that you got the proper water pump. If the pump is not right (like from craigslist) then it might not fit up properly to the motor and chassis.

Or just use the motor to make a go-kart

I did the same thing with a Honda pressure washer. I was able to replace the entire water pump for about $275. Don't feel bad, this happens to alot of people. If you buy the pump yourself, youy'll save some of the cost

Thank you , Ill check around on monday see if anyone has it . If not Ill order it online. The price seems reasonable . Find me someone to install it which Im guessing labor for hour is about 60 bucks so that ok than 1000 for a new one. I appreciate it serovich and others. I rarely use it in Winter so it . It was nice out and never dawn on me to think of the power washer freezing.
I love this forum
