Just a friendly reminder to anyone that'd like to make a donation. Saturday, May 9th, the post office will be accepting donations.

To donate, just place some non perishable items by your mailbox tomorrow.

USPS News Release: Feeding America's Hungry (http://www.usps.com/communications/newsroom/2009/pr09_046.htm - broken link)

Giving the current economy, food banks have been running low on supplies and donations have been decreasing, so if you're able and willing, every little bit helps. TIA.

Thanks, MMT! Our carrier left us a bag and we have it filled, ready to go! I hope everyone will contribute something - even if just one can of food. Every single can counts!!

Running to the cupboard right now, I put the postcard on my fridge so I wouldn't forget, haven't seen the fridge yet this AM. Great program!

Stuck my bag on the mailbox this morning and was proud to see so many others already had their bags out. This is a meaningful food drive and so important now b/c food pantries are low.

I hope Charlotte loads up their postal carriers today!

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to the teachers, parents and kids at David Cox Elementary School, who collected 400lbs of food this week for the Stamp Out Hunger campaign. I took it directly to Loaves & Fishes yesterday, since the schools aren't open for today's pick-up.

Thanks again.
